Pilates is a form of exercise which promotes a healthy body inside out. Almost one hundred years since Joseph Pilates introduced and refined his exercises, more and more people around the world continue to practice and benefit by this method. It is based on six key principles – centring, concentration, control, precision, breath and flow – to awaken the body and mind, prevent injury, heal back pain and build muscular strength.
I started dancing at the age of 5 and since that day I haven't stopped. Ballet, contemporary dance, butoh dance, contact improvisation and yoga. My dance background helped me understand the deeper meaning of Pilates holistic exercises and while practicing I sensed a big difference in my body-strength and control. I was trained with Body Control Pilates as an instructor because I felt inspired to help others experience the benefits of Pilates.
My classes focus on fluidity, achieving better control, alignment and precision of movement. I encourage participants to have fun while improving their posture, flexibility and physical strength. I love going through playful sequences to cheer up our day!

TestimonialsHer encouraging and positive way of teaching lifts my spirit! HS (online class)
Danai has a warm and gentle but engaging personality; she really made me smile. The pace of the class was absolutely perfect, with Danai providing verbal and hands-on corrections to help us get the most out of our stretches without letting us overdo it or injure ourselves. You can tell she really knows how to help individuals work with their bodies. RG (stretching workshop) She is a very good teacher and takes the time to come round and correct your posture and technique, whilst at the same time being calm and clear. LH (Beginner) |
